The Ark church is in the process of establishing their Music School and have purchased musical equipment in preparation for the Music School launch.   The purpose of the Music School is to offer musical tuition to young people who may not be in a position to afford music lessons.  The benefit of music cannot be underestimated, and we believe that music can have a positive effect on a person’s mental health and can be an effective emotional expression and release both in happy and sad times. Most educators understand the importance of teaching music to children as it has been found to enhance cognitive skills including memory, language, social skills and problem-solving techniques.  Music can help lift a person’s mood, enhances concentration, discipline, patience and perseverance, helping to build character and resilience in a young person’s life.
